Disability Confidence in Recruitment
Approximately 6.8 million people of working age in the UK (1 in 5 of the working population) have a disability. With an emphasis on merit based recruiting, this course provides recruiters with an insight in how to spot talent and ability among a wide range of disabled people.
This course recognises that for many disabled people relevant skills and abilities may have been acquired via untraditional routes, and helps selectors to make the right decisions for the right reasons about whether or not to appoint disabled candidates.
This one day course explores in detail the law and best practice relating to employing disabled people and the concept of reasonable adjustment in recruitment. It also explores ways employers can promote and manage the effectiveness of their recruitment agencies to search and select the right person for the job, regardless of disability.
Who should attend?
Line Managers, HR Consultants, Diversity Managers and anyone involved in recruiting employees or procuring recruitment agencies.
