Equality Analysis - Advancing Equality through Results
The introduction of the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) in April 2011 introduces the concept of Equality Analysis (EA) to replace Equality Impact Assessments. This new approach focuses less on process and more on output and quality of analysis. It also applies to all protected characteristics.
This one day course will outline the legal requirement for Equality Analysis and how it differs from Equality Impact Assessments. The course also explores how EA meets the need to give due regard to the general equality duty when devising, developing and delivering policies in the public sector.
